According to recent confirmations, the French government's cult monitoring agency "MIVILUDES" (Interdepartmental Task Force on the Monitoring and Combat of Sectarian Deviation) has shown high vigilance against heretics made in South Korea. The report released by the agency covers 242 pages of activities from 2022 to 2024, of which the content on heretical groups made in Korea is recorded on pages 77 to 78 of 2.

In the report, Mivelud pointed out that heretical groups produced in South Korea, including the Shincheonji Church of Jesus Evidence Tabernacle Temple (Shincheonji), the World Mission of the Church of God (WMSCOG), and The Church of Almighty God (Oriental Lightning) produced in China are all listed as key targets.

"Continuous and systematic recruitment campaign... Targeting French youth"

The report pointed out that Xintiandi was founded in 1984 and has about 400,000 believers in more than 20 countries around the world. According to statistics in 2023, there are more than 1,180 believers in France, of which about 800 are young people aged 18 to 39.

In France, missionary activities in public places such as train stations, intensive Bible study projects, and mandatory consecration have led to frequent complaints of spiritual exhaustion and broken family relationships among believers.

In particular, Mivelüd pointed out that Xintiandi has the following problems: △ Over-investment of believers in translation, art, and theological ministries within the church; 10% tithing and additional cash contributions are required; △ Implement internal sanctions or even expulsion of absent worship services. Believers are prohibited from searching the Internet, cannot access external information without the permission of the leader, and are labeled as "satanic people" or "apostates" after leaving the group, and are forced to sever their original relationships.

"There is only 'yes' or 'amen'... Only ask for an atmosphere of absolute submission"

Citing internal testimony, the report describes the internal atmosphere of Xintiandi as "a closed organization that controls appearance and personality and only requires absolute obedience", and pointed out that "the only answers allowed within Xintiandi are 'yes' or 'amen'".

"Believers are asked to avoid searching for or being exposed to outside information through the Internet (claiming it will 'pollute the soul'), and any contact with information needs to be done with the assistance of leadership."

In addition, Mivelud noted that Sincheonji "shows special attention to youth, adolescents and children, even trying to get close to children's centers through disguised peace projects." The report mentions a case where a mother expressed concern about a change in her son's participation in the Shincheonji Bible class, saying that "the son closed his heart to the family and tried to give up his studies."

The report also mentioned that in addition to Shincheonji, WMSCOG and The Church of Almighty God have also received numerous complaints. According to testimonies from defectors and their families, the group has the following problems: daily missionary work (including Sundays), 30 to 40 hours of church activities per week, eschatology, mutual monitoring mechanisms, encouragement of internal marriages, expulsion for violation of regulations, strong demands for tithes and multiple donations, promises of salvation through monetary donations, etc. Mivelud said family members reported psychological harm after joining the group. Regarding the Chinese-made Totalitarian Church, Mivelud reported that "the group has problems such as manipulation, brainwashing, guilt-inducing, more than two hours of online missionary training per day, and infiltrating other churches for missionary purposes."

Mivelud: "Heretical cults cause social harm through mind-controlled structures"

In the report, Mivillude warned: "Under the guise of religious freedom, heretical cult groups form mind-control structures and closed communities within French society, especially targeting youth and vulnerable groups. "The report clearly points out that the vigilance system at the national level must be strengthened. Mivelud also noted changes in Korean-made heresy, stating that "in the past, it mainly involved the Unification Church (i.e., the Sun Myung Moon Movement) or the Manmin Central Church (EBTN)," but "between 2022 and 2024, there has been a significant increase in complaints and requests for information against new churches," with Shincheonji and God's Church as representative groups.
